Self-Hosted….Making the Change and We Move

So, I am back! Did you miss me? I missed y’all for real!

New Changes

Things look slightly different around here…. What do you think? I personally think it looks

I want to give a HUGE shout out and major key thank you to Olliviette and Coco Creativ for all the help provided with the blog. I have new content for everybody’s head tops I can’t wait!

Officially self-hosted

I took the plunge and I am officially self-hosted! Everybody say yeah! This year, I said to myself ‘You will see my blog by force this year’. I toyed with the idea of becoming self-hosted, so having my own domain name, more freedom when it comes to design and themes and just a better-looking website.

A few months into 2019, I had created some great content and I thought ‘I should go self-hosted you know, it is long typing in into the search bar, why can it not just be’ I have nearly been blogging for 3 years and therefore I said to say to myself, I am giving out my content, for free. Gaining opportunities from blogging was ultimately the end goal and I need to be in that position. So I can receive those opportunities when it comes. This is where self-hosting comes in, I can be my own big girl boss when it comes to my blog and I am the true creative director. I control the narrative.

How it works

Contact Coco Creativ. Periodt. My girl slayed my new blog and provided great creative tips, kept me updated with the transition process and made the process feel less overwhelming and easy. But officially the blog is still the same.

Especially with the untimely death of Nipsy Hussle and Cadet (Rest In Power Kings), I realise writing on certain issues and having a blog is my way of contributing to Black British culture. I only want to put out quality content, if it is not quality then I don’t want it! There were only a few years older than me and they are no longer here. Deep it. I am still alive and still breathing so I will use that and write my blog and continue talking about being black British, my non-existent love life and general wahala that goes on my life.

Share, support and subscribe to the blog if you haven’t already and enjoy my little space on the internet. A new blog post is out on Monday!
